The Kherson National Technical University and the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry enjoy a long-standing friendly relationship. Their cooperation includes mutual events arrangement, providing the basis for students’ practical training, creative work.

The Vice-President of the Kherson CCI Mr. Sergey Kocherzhenko took part at the exhibition opening ceremony within the tenth anniversary celebration of Design Department (Kherson National Technical University) on September, 29. Lecturers, students, guests from other educational institutions, mass-media representatives gathered in the Picture Gallery on Svoboda square to get acquainted with the works of Design Department students created over recent years.

Mr. Sergey Kocherzhenko greeted everyone with the Department's anniversary and expressed sincere gratitude to Mrs. Elena Chepelyuk, the Head of Department, and to other lecturers for a longstanding cooperation. He also emphasized that it was a special pleasure to be present at the exhibition arranged by the Design Department as previously participation of the Department at the Chamber’s fairs had been more traditional. Sergey Kocherzhenko also mentioned a creative inspiration and enthusiasm which always characterized the work of the Department representatives during the mutual projects implementation. He also wished good luck and new achievements to all those who were art and part in the exhibition.

Special words of appreciation were addressed to Mr. Vitaly Krizhanovskiy, the Department's lecturer and a member of the Ukrainian Designers Organization, who had developed the Kherson CCI original corporate design and had significantly contributed to a great number of its projects. Mr. Vitaly Krizhanovskiy keeps on surprising us, the Kherson CCI staff, by his outstanding ideas, and embodying our conceptions by giving them graphical and visual form.

The Head of Design Department Elena Chepelyuk told about the trends of the future Department's development: graphical design, interior design and installations. The “Design Days” program includes an exhibition of student's works created during the plain-air practice and a scientific seminar “Modern Tendencies in South Ukrainian Artist's Works”.
