On October 17, 2012 the first session of the public council to the Kherson Customs took place in Kherson CCI. Chairmen of Kherson Customs and Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry were organizers of the event. The main goal of both organizations is to assist business development and to provide consulting on issues of government policy in customs field.

This meeting was practical. The members of the Public Council are representatives of member entities of Kherson CCI members, exporters of Kherson region and other regions, which export their production abroad.

Association of Taxpayers is also enlisted in this project. The Association will assist the dialog between customs and taxation authorities. Issues of electronic filing, indicative prices, standardization of goods and services, mutual relations with controlling bodies of executive authorities, changes in legislation and their influence on business activity were considered at the Council.

There also were considered the tasks of the Public Council to the Kherson Customs. The main of them – realization by citizens their constitutional right for participation in customs business administration and taking the public opinion into account as for preparation and implementation of  custom authority determinations.

The head of control department of Kherson customs Mr. Vladimir Vasilenko brought  to the notice of those present that since implementation of new Customs Code of Ukraine  sustainable turns for the better had appeared. He appealed to the business representatives to start using electronic filing and explained that this way of declaring reduces time of customs registration and number of paper documents.

The participants have got not only valuable information and answers for important questions of export-import operations, but also a possibility to exchange opinions and suggestions.
