The problems existing in the foreign economic activity sphere and their solutions were discussed at the conference held in Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kiev. The main emphasis was placed on the interaction between business and government.

The conference was attended by the President of the Ukrainian CCI Mr. Gennadiy Chizhikov, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mr. Igor Prasolov, First Deputy Minister of Incomes and Fees Mr. Stepan Derivolkov, the chairman of the State Export Control Service Mr. Vladimir Demekhin, the chairman of the Ukrainian State Service for Tourism and Resorts Ms. Elena Shapovalova, German economy delegate Mr. Alexander Marcus, Commercial Counsellor of Austrian Embassy in Ukraine Mr. Gregor Postl, the chairman of the British-Ukrainian CCI Mr. Beth Thoms, representatives of Ukrainian and foreign business associations and diplomatic corps.

Within the workshop of the conference, a round table discussion "An exchange of experience of partnership between business associations and public authorities" also took place.

The conference participants stressed the need to intensify foreign trade, to help domestic exporters on traditional and new markets, to improve the investment attractiveness of Ukraine. They also spoke about profounding the cooperation between business and government in the fields of export control, customs, tourism and others.
