On June 05-06, 2013 a delegation of Czech enterprises headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Mr. Ivan Pochuh had visited Kherson. The delegation consisted of companies that operate in the field of engineering, construction, energy, waste management, communal services, logistics, information technologies, manufacturing of industrial and medical equipment, etc.

The main objective of this business mission - to develop a closer relationship between entrepreneurs from Czech Republic an Ukraine, in particular - from Kherson region, at the interregional level.

The business meeting was opened by the KCCI First Vice-President Ms. Valentina Udod. She welcomed all Czech delegates, Kherson entrepreneurs and representatives of the authorities, and also thanked the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Ukraine Mr. Ivan Pochuh, the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Donetsk Ondrej Moraveck, the Trade Counsellor Ladislav Horak for their active work on the development and strengthening of the Ukrainian-Czech economic and cultural relations.

The majority of Czech guests arrived to find new buyers of their products, technologies and services. For example, a well known company TATRA is interested in supplying trucks, "TZB Orlov" - modular boilers, "TEDOM" - co-generation plants and gas heat pumps, LECO Instrumente - laboratory equipment for various branches of industry, energy, agriculture, etc. The Czech Export Bank, which grants credits for Czech goods supplying to other countries, have also sent its representatives.

The main part of the meeting was direct B2B communication. Particular attention of Kherson agricultural enterprises was drawn to the activities of "Brunnthaller – CS" company, which provides technologies and equipment for cattle and pig breeding. Medical institutions and companies of Kherson region communicated with        supply and service firms "BMT UA" and LLC "BTL – Ukraine" specialized on medical equipment.

Business negotiations were attended by representatives of more than 40 companies of Kherson region, such as: Concern “Electromash”, Kherson State-owned Plant “Pallada”, Kherson Machine Engineering Plant, Beryslav Machine Engineering Plant, “Antares”, “Amaltheya” Ltd, "Zootehnologiya" Ltd, "Criomed" Ltd, Group "Teplotechnicka" Ltd, Trade House "Medtechnicka Kherson", Trade House "Ukraine", Kherson and Tsyurupynsk municipal water and wastewater treatment plants and many others.
