On March 4, 2011, Kakhovka Office of the Kherson CCI was set to work. Its main objective will be represented by faster and more qualitative servicing the business entities involved in goods production as well as their shipment out of the customs territory of Ukraine, located in Kakhovka, Beryslav, Gornostayevka rayons and Nova Kakhovka city of Kherson region. First and foremost the reduction of the producing enterprises’ time and costs associated with preparation and receipt of required documents is implied. In future the Office will provide all main services offered by the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

One of the key reasons for another KCCI office foundation was the close location of the leading industrial enterprises’ majority, Kakhovka Electric Welding Equipment Plant, JSC; CHUMAK, JSC; Nova Kakhovka Electric Machine-building Plant, LLC; Nova Kakhovka Electromechanical Plant, Ltd. etc. being among them. All of the mentioned enterprises are the valid members of the Kherson CCI.

The Office was formally opened by the President of the Kherson Chamber Mrs. Viktoriya Ostroumova. Heroine of Ukraine Ms. Vera Naydenova Director General of State-owned enterprise Scientific Research Institute “Askaniyske” UAAS; Mr. Volodymyr Kosse Director General of Nova Kakhovka Electric Machine-building Plant, LLC; Mr. Karl Sturen founder of CHUMAK, JSC as well as representatives of “Lavoro” and “NKMZP” Private Enterprises arrived to Kakhovka to congratulate Mr. Valeriy Storchak Director of the Kakhovka Office of the KCCI. Mr. Vladimir Gaponenko Director General of “Sodrouzhestvo” Diversified Concern JSC who was now representing the International Commercial Chamber Ukraine was present at the event too.

The personal congratulation by Mr. Yury Antonov, Consul General of Russian Federation to Odessa, who was just visiting Kherson region to participate in the International Tourism Forum became a pleasant surprise for all the participants. On March, 4 Mr. Antonov was staying in Kahkovka on a working visit for negotiations with the Heads of Kakhovka rayon state administration and Kakhovka rayon Council as well as with Mayor of Kakhovka city and management of several leading enterprises located here.
