On 16th of December, 2011 in the village Frumushyka-Nova of Taturynsk' district, Odessa region, in pedigree plant “Borodino-A” (director – Alexander Palariyev) The Ministry of Agricultural and Food of Ukraine together with The Sheep- and Goat-breeders Association of Ukraine held the round-table meeting concerning the development of competitive production of high-quality lamb and mutton in AR Crimea, Odessa, Carpathian and Kherson Region. This meeting was oriented to specialists in the sphere of sheep-breeding, farm workers, representatives of science and state institutions.

he leader of The Development of SME Support Center of KCCI Nataliya Krainyuk and director of Kherson Regional Investment and Development Сenter Galyna Ivanova were invited to the meeting as initiators of sheep-breeding revival movement “Golden Fleece of Tavriya” in Kherson Region.

TThe leaders of leading sheep-breeding farms took part in the meeting of round table. Some of them arrived recently from USA, where they had an opportunity to exchange experiences, to undergo the study course in exemplary sheep-breeding farms. The questions considering the spreading of experience from leading farms among Ukrainian farmers and leaders of sheep-breeding complexes were raised during the discussion. The leaders of farms paid attention of representatives of Ministry to necessity to accelerate the work of National program of sheep-breeding’s revival.

The participants of round table were informed about initiative of Kherson Region considering the joint efforts of the leading scientists and businessmen for the purpose of development and introduction of project  “Golden Fleece of Tavriya”. They supported the initiative of Kherson Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Kherson Regional Center of Investment and Development in reference to establishment of sheep-breeding’s revival movement in Ukraine and volunteered to join the “Golden Fleece of Tavriya” project.
