President of the Kherson CCI Victoria Ostroumova and Vice-presidents Sergey Kocherzhenko and Tatyana Brykova participated in International Investment forum “Tavriya Horizons: Attractiveness, Cooperation, Investment, Economic Development” that was held on September 23-24 in Nova Kakhovka city. The key issue of the event was activation of business co-operation of Kherson region with foreign and national partners, development of interregional relations and investment in the development of regional economics.

For several years Investment forum brings together businessmen from Ukraine and foreign countries, representatives of government and diplomatic corps, investment companies and banking institutions. This year forum was visited by representatives of 19 European and Asian countries. Among invited guests there were the Head of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization of Ukraine Vladimir Semynozhenko, who gave regards from the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Nikolai Azarov to participants of the forum.     

During the official part there was presented economic potential of the region and several projects that are successfully implemented by investors in Kherson. After the break guests and participants went to the round tables: “Agribusiness and processing”, “Industry, transport, alternative energy and energy efficiency”, “Tourism and recreation”, “Interregional development”. Within these thematic sections some projects for foreign investors were presented. Within the section of agricultural development there was presented the project of sheep-breeding revival “Golden Fleece of Tavriya”, developed by the Institute of Animal Breeding in Steppe areas "Askaniya-Nova" and Kherson State Agrarian University at the initiative of Kherson Regional Investment and Development Center and Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In addition to main conversation of participants and during different events that were foreseen by its program, there was also officially signed the Memorandum of collaboration with representatives of foreign delegation, particularly in creating of multifunctional geothermal rehabilitation settlement “InterMedicalEcoCity”, collaboration in implementation of investment projects construct transport infrastructure objects “Transshipment terminals that ship grain and oilseeds on the river and sea transport”, with company “NIBULON”, collaboration in implementation of investment projects to create in Kherson region wholesale markets for farm products with company “FIXAM GROUP” (China), collaboration in implementation of investment projects to create commercial and cultural center “Factory” in Kherson, collaboration in development of logistics center with companies “Green-Team” and “VINDKRAFT”, collaboration in project “green energy” with company “Star” etc (Information of Kherson Regional State Administration).

On September 24 participants headed by Chairman of Kherson RSA Nikolai Kostyak attended the annual XII Tavriya Fair in Nova Kakhovka. 97 participants took part in the fair, among them were: SE “Fish Factory of Nova Kakhovka”, CME “Nova Kakhovka Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant”, PLC “Kalanchak butter production plant”, PC “Novotroitsk butter production plant”, JSC “Chumak”, agricultural firm “Bilozerskyj”, Georgian trade house, private company CPF “Budmaister” (Kakhovka), JSC “NKEMZ” (Nova Kakhovka), “Fidem life”, “Met Life Alico”, “Finist group”, Kakhovka experimental mechanical plant and Beryslav mechanical plant. In the network of the forum there was held a wine festival "Vinotavr."
