2010.10.23-20 – Kherson CCI participated in the 2nd International Forum "Clean Water"

On October 20-23 in Moscow took place the Second International Forum "Clean Water 2010", which brought together more than 1700 people. Among them there are the heads of Russian and foreign authorities, ministries, departments, diplomatic representatives, prominent scholars, representatives of international organizations, entrepreneurs, civic leaders. Among the Forum participants included representatives of 47 countries. In light of discussions participated more than 100 Russian and foreign media.

At the invitation of the head of Mosvodokanal Mr. S.V. Hramenkov and continue to develop partnerships in the field of water management in the Forum participated the President of the Kherson CCI V.V. Ostroumova and the adviser T.S. Brykova.

In opening day Forum was attended by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

During the Forum work in plenary sessions, thematic sessions, seminars and roundtables held to discuss the most acute and urgent problems of the water industry. Forum participants exchanged views and discussed the strategic direction and developed recommendations for the further development of water sector, ensuring Russia's population with clean water.

Water is recognized as the most valuable resource for further development and future of humanity. According to scientists' predictions, by the mid 21st century. There will be no countries that will not experience an acute crisis due to lack of water. As the director of the Institute of Water Problems of RAS, Academician V.Danilov-Danilyan, water - one of the rarest cases, irreplaceable resource.

The format of the forum allowed a comprehensive look at the issue of providing clean water, to overcome the highly specific views on the issue, to discuss strategy for the development of municipal water supply in the Russian Federation, the prospects for a systematic approach to the regulatory sector, implications of changing environmental regulations, priority for municipalities and utilities to improve energy efficiency.

Presentations by representatives of foreign governments, companies and industry unions have once again demonstrated the need to adopt the most effective international experience, to use organizational and technological achievements of foreign colleagues.

The Forum included also an exhibition which was attended by Russian companies working in the field of water treatment, water supply and sanitation, foreign companies and institutions and banks.
