On August, 11, 2009 Association of Thermal Engineering Enterprises which had recently acquired membership of the Kherson CCI, invited Victoria Ostroumova, the Chamber President, and Sergey Kocherzhenko, Vice-President, to have a tour of the demonstration hall with modern equipment for heat and water supply and buildings climatic deices to be exhibited.

President of the Association, Mr. Vladimir Sheludko, and Chairman of the Management Board, Mr. Vladimir Skorokhod, told the Chamber’s representatives about the Association work, the modern tendencies in energy efficiency and alternative energy sources development, as well as about the projects in the sphere of housing and public utility sector that had been successfully realized by the Association in Kherson.

The Association incorporates 19 specialized heat and power and construction enterprises of Kherson Region. Main acivities are implementation of modern high-technology energy efficiency equipment during existing systems reconstruction and new systems of heat and gas supply design and construction, and also implementation of alternative and renewable energy sources (sun panels, collectors, biogas manufacturing, thermal pumps, solid-fueled boiler houses for local fuel types), energy efficient technologies for waste water clearing, development of economically and technically feasible projects for heat supply system for cities and neighborhoods of the region. The Association was among the first to introduce devices for thermal energy consumption measuring, water and sewage effluent meters. The Association takes an active part in development of regional energy efficiency programs and in their implementation.

Victoria Ostroumova, Vladimir Sheludko and Vladimir Skorokhod discussed future possible cooperation and mutual arrangement of the 1st Ecological Forum “Clean City. Clean River. Clean Planet” to be held in Kherson on November 19-20, 2009.
