Reinertsen company, Norway, representatives Ms. Irina Kostromitskaya and Mr. Torfinn Lysfiyord met Kherson engineering companies and construction organizations on July, 24 in the conference room of the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting was organized by Kherson CCI and The Economic Development Department of Kherson City Council.

Reinertsen company works with energy efficiency and ecological improvements in building sector. A goal of its programme in Ukraine is to improve competence of Ukrainian building sector, authorities and organizations as well as to implement several project in the spheres of energy efficiency and ecological improvements in order to correspond with the new standards, demands and European Union legislation.

Activities, realized by Reinertsen in Ukraine are as follows:
- energy efficiency in the existing buildings: energy audits / implementation of energy effective measures; measures financing and introducing; documenting of measures undertaking effect;
- energy efficiency in new buildings: “New Technologies”, heat pumps;
- development of energy effective "schemes": working with local authorities (Kherson).

During the meeting Irina Kostromitskaya spoke about Reinertsen’s experience at the market of modernization of the existing, living, industrial and social buildings both in Europe and outside. Besides Reinertsen professionals described to the Kherson design engineers the procedure of buildings passportization in European Union with the changes planned in the building code included.

Norwegian professionals proposed cooperation to the Kherson design engineers, at the stage of living and social buildings designing in order to improve energy efficiency parameters of buildings before the construction and exploitation stages. In such a way energy expenses due to the buildings exploitation will considerably decrease.
