Kherson CCI President, Victoria Ostroumova took part in the opening of the documentary exhibition “Life and Times of Karel Chapek, a Writer” in the building of Kherson Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Oles Gonchar on May, 21, 2010. Exhibition materials were  kindly furnished by the Consulate General of Czech Republic in Donetsk.

The exhibition was open by the Head of Kherson Regional State Administration, Anatoliy Grytsenko and the Consul General of Czech Republic in Donetsk, Antonyn Murgash.

The exhibition about life and career of one of the most famous Czech writers of the XX century, who was a comprehensively talented person, contains stands with life and work description of Karel Chapek, as well as copies of documents, manuscripts, books, photos of a writer, the most famous  fragments of works, interesting facts and so on. The exhibition if held within celebrating Europe Days in Kherson. Visitors also have an opportunity to watch a same-named film “Life and Times of Karel Chapek, a Writer”.

Victoria Ostroumova also met the Vice-Consul of economic issues of Consulate General of Czech Republic in Donetsk Ladislav Goran and discussed the ways of further cooperation between the Consulate General and Kherson CCI.
