The President of Kherson CCI Mrs. Viktoria Ostroumova participated in the conference “Innovative energy saving in a post-crisis period: strategy, practice, problems, perspectives for Ukraine”, that took place in the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kiev.

Energy saving remains an urgent problem, that needs investigation, research and implementation of positive experience and suitable finance facilities. Therefore the main objective of the conference was to initiate dialogue and active partnership between the representatives of government authorities, business, science, education and general public. The conference became a discussion area to share positive experience in integration of energy efficient technologies, to learn about scientific research in this sphere and financial instruments for the energy saving projects.

The KCCI President Viktoria Ostroumova spoke about the results of the Ukrainian- Norwegian Programme «Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency» in Kherson region aimed at energy-resource saving by means of activation of the company’s internal resources.

At the conference there was discussed implementation of National energy saving programme and  decrease of energy consumption at the regional level, including the development of specific measures for the Ukrainian regions. The Deputy director of the Sumy Regional State Administration Mr. Nikolay Derkach and the Shostka mayor Mr. Nikolay Noga shared their successful experience.
