On July, 11-12 there was a training seminar “The New Customs Code of Ukraine”, organized by the Kherson CCI and the Kherson Customs. The New Customs Code  have took effect since 01.06.2012.

The event was opened by the Deputy chief of Kherson Customs Mr. Vladimir Yeremenko and the First Vice-president of Kherson CCI Ms. Valentina Udod.

Some leading experts of Kherson Customs were invited to expand on a topic of important customs problems, such as customs valuation, certification of origin of goods, Ukrainian goods classifier, practice of goods registration for the import/export, common mistakes during the customs registration, electronic declaration of goods, violation of the customs code and sanctions for violators.

The event included customs registration practical exercises for the representatives of enterprises – members of the KCCI, enterprises from Kherson region and other regions of Southern Ukraine.

The participants have got answers for important questions of import/export operations and shared their opinions and proposals concerning improvement of customs registration system. They also have got a copy of “New customs code of Ukraine” and personal certificates with signatures of KCCI President Ms. Viktoriya Ostrumova and Kherson Customs Chief Mr. Vitaly Bulyuk.

The major part of the seminar was held in a form of dialogue between speakers and audience. According to the Deputy chief of Kherson Customs such events will become regular in Kherson region.
