2012.09.14 – Practical seminar «“Sustainable” procurements and development of “green” technologies as a method of assistance for business development».
On September, 14, the Kherson CCI and the USAID/LINK project have held a practical seminar «“Sustainable” procurements and development of “green” technologies as a method of assistance for business development» within the framework of the 4th International Ecological Forum “Clean City. Clean River. Clean Planet”.
The foremost experts of state procurements have familiarized the participants with a place of “green” procurements in the meaning of stable sustainable development strategy of Ukraine, as well as assistance in improvement of energy- and resources-efficiency of domestic production, reduction of carbon dioxide emission, efficient use of natural resources and their recovery.
Among the speakers there were USAID/LINK experts Mr. Alexander Kravchenko and Mr. Anatoly Maksimiuk, director of the regional branch of the All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Organization “The Living Planet” Mr. Yuri Galuschinsky, head of the Nikolayev CCI's tendering procedures department Ms. Natalia Drozdova. Suppliers of products and services, members of tender committees, lecturers and students of universities have got familiarized with the strategy of state procurement in Ukraine (which is under development now), main principles and methods of environmental evaluation of goods in order to determine their environmental advantages, problem issues concerning these advantages during the procedure of state procurements. Kherson producers have shared their experience concerning realization of “green economics” principles by an example of implementation of energy-saving and energy-efficient technologies, use of natural potential of Kherson region.
