2013.05.23 – the meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the BSEC countries

On May, 23 in Yalta there was a meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) countries. They discussed the possibilities of inter-regional barriers removal and customs restrictions by creating free trade areas, to improve information  exchange through the network of BSEC Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to train and re-profile experts on international trade and economic cooperation.

This high-level meeting have served as a platform for different issues discussing, such as problems of bilateral trade relations within the BSEC organization, regional energy security, infrastructure  projects' implementation, rational exploitation of natural resources. After the meeting, chief negotiators of BSEC countries signed a joint declaration on further economic cooperation and  regional trade development.

Kherson CCI provided the meeting participants with information materials about trade and economic potential of Kherson region and major Kherson companies - Corrugated Cardboard Plant "Dunapack Tavria", Kherson State-owned Plant "Pallada", Group “Sodruzhestvo”, Ltd. 

For information: The Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) – an intergovernmental organization consisting of 12 countries of the Southern Balkans and the Black Sea region: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine. BSEC was founded on May 1, 1999 on the basis of the Agreement on the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. Its headquarters are located in Istanbul.
