From 30th of October till 1st of November 2013 Kherson Regional State Administration and Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry represented travel business of Kherson region at Lviv international forum of tourism industry and hospitality and at XIV International exhibition “Tour EXPO 2013” at the Palace of Sports “Ukraine” in Lviv.  
The intention of the participation in this events was to provide Kherson region enterprises working in the sectors of tourism, recreation, hotel and restaurant business, to present tourism potential of Kherson region, to establish business contacts with international operators, to initiate international cooperation in tourism sector, to create conditions for effective development of tourism and recreation, to introduce new tourist products to the market, to sustain a positive brand image of the enterprise, to find new clients and enhance relations with the old ones.

More than 80 enterprises, firms and organizations from Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Greece and Namibia participated in the forum. Private Joint-Stock Company "Gal-EXPO" was an organizer of the event and was supported by Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv Regional Council, Lviv City Council, Department of International Cooperation and Tourism of Lviv RSA, Association of Hotel Unions and Hotels of Ukrainian Cities, Association of Small Hotels and Apartments of Ukraine, Ukrainian Adventure and Ecotourism Association, Waterparks Association of Ukraine, under the patronage of Polish Chamber of Hotel Industry.

Some forum’s events were held with the participation of Poland representatives. Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism of Poland Ms. Katazhina Soberajska has taken part in the official opening and follow-up events of the forum.

The participants of  “TurEXPO 2013” exhibition were suggested to visit a set of events held within the framework of the forum’s program: seminar on "Cross-border cooperation in tourism in the Carpathians Euroregion" devoted to the possible usage of common cultural heritage and natural environment of the Eastern Carpathians as tourist destination in Ukraine and Poland; seminars by experts of Polish Chamber of Hotel Industry on normalization of hotel industry legal issues according to EU requirements, marketing of hotels and modern trends in hotel design; seminar-presentation “Little-known tourist destinations and unique tourist products of Ukraine and the world”, WORKSHOP “Hospitable Mykolaiv region”; seminar “Contextual advertising and travel agency site”; seminar-presentation “Greece holydays for everyone”; seminar on “Techniques and methods of sales promotion through the online reservation form on the hotel site”.

Within the framework of “Hotel and restaurant business” exhibition Hotel Investors Academy held a one-day seminar devoted to the refinements of hotel investments. In addition seminars on “Modern techniques of restaurant promoting through the Internet” and “Modern trends in restaurant vine cart design” have taken place. Exhibition was spiced by IV professional chef contest “SIMPLY. Food without pathos!” organized in partnership with Western Chief Group. 

Besides rich business-program the exhibition represented new collections of textiles and underwear (by companies “LiMaCo”, Lviv; “Katiusha”, Nikopol; “Vlasti”, Lviv), equipment and furniture for hotels and restaurants (by firms “PRIMUS”, Lviv; “Contact”, Odesa; “S-Prof”, Lviv; “HOTEK”, Lviv), computer and telecommunication technologies for hotels and restaurants as well as for entertainment industry (by companies “HotelinPocket”, Kharkiv; “Profit Solutions”, Kyiv; “Data Telecom”, Kyiv; “Parus-Zahid”, Chernivtsi) etc.
