Twice a year, the Kherson Educational and Aesthetic Complex “Art school” welcomes works from different world countries for the contest of children’s drawings the “Illustration for the folk fairy tale”. This year more than 2000 works from 9 country of the world were forwarded to the judgment of jury : from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belarus, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Russia, Serbia and also Hungary. The jury consists of national and foreign artists, members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and Unions of Designers of Ukraine, the Head of from Shumen(Bulgaria) Union of Artists and also senior educator of the Kherson Educational and Aesthetic Complex “Art school”.

The best works were presented on the exhibition in Kherson Concert Hall “Yubileynyy”. The opening of this exhibition was held on January 16 and gathered a lot of visitors.  Besides of the participants of the contest and their parents, the representatives of those organizations, which traditionally encourage this competition, visited the exhibition too.  Among them the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry, city theatres and a big number of social organizations.
The First Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Valentina Sychova congratulated the audience on behalf of the Head.  Addressing the audience, she noted, that each of the contest participants had a brilliant, interesting and unique personality. The head of the jury, professor of the National Academy of Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts of Ukraine Anatoliy Slipych noted that participants created sense of fabulousness with their works.  Really, diversity and originality of children’s drawings returned all the visitors in a childhood fairy tale.

It is pleasant to know that among the winners there are 4 Kherson young artists:  Diana Gerasimova, Margarita Zhukova, Victoria Pagels and Gleb Ostrous. Also, the children of Art schools from other cities of Ukraine - Khmelnitsky, Kirovograd, Lutsk, Enerhodar, Nikolaev and schools from Indonesia, Russia, Serbia, Lithuania, and Belarus got their rewards.

All of the participants of the III International competition of children’s drawing the “Illustration for the folk fairy tale” were solemnly awarded with diplomas and gifts.
