Zalaegerszeg celebrated 130-year anniversary on June 12-14. In view of that, delegation of the Kherson CCI and delegations from other twin-cities (they are thirteen) were invited to a reception in the city hall. In his welcoming speech the mayor of Zalaegerszeg Zoltan Balaits noted the importance of twinning in the development of international relations, adjustment of productive cooperation between the cities at all levels - administrative, trade and economic, sports, tourist, cultural. In turn, representatives of twin-cities municipalities from Italy, Germany, Poland, Austria, Bulgaria, Ukraine hoped for opening of new horizons for successful partnership and wished to Zalaegerszeg and its inhabitants the best regards of further prosperity and success on City Day.

There was a visit to the investment objects of the city industrial and recreational zone, organized by the City government for the delegations of twin-cities, and also a sightseeing tour of the central park, where the trees traditional for the climate of partner cities were landed.

The delegation of the KCCI met the management of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Zala County - President Ferents Mazzagom, the Secretary General Aniko Veresh and members of Presidium to discuss further strengthening and development of business contacts between Kherson region and Zala County enterprises. For many years the chambers collaborate on the matter of interregional economic, industrial and trade relations. In 2006 the KCCI and CCI of Zala County have signed the Cooperation Agreement, simplifying communication and exchange of business information interesting for business circles of both partner regions.

On January 1, 2016 new rules for trade between Ukraine and EU come into effect, as provided by the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between Ukraine and the European Union. By this time the process of unification of the legislative and regulatory framework of Ukraine on trade with the EU must complete. Special attention is given to the introduction of the registered exporters on the European model.

Research of foreign markets and possibilities of access of the Ukrainian production to them, studying of requirements and regulations about the international trading operations, for the purpose of providing exhaustive consultations to the enterprises of the Kherson region in this sphere are among of the Kherson CCI priorities. Therefore, the exchange of experience between partner chambers, especially concerning the system of registered exporters, and information support of the Ukrainian companies engaged in foreign trade upon transition to new international rules became one of the central themes of discussion during negotiations of Kherson CCI and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Zala County.

Speaking about the most perspective ways of Ukrainian goods entering at the European market, taking into account the fastest adaptation of production to the European quality requirements, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Zala County Ferents Mazzagom suggested to consider a possibility of creation of the joint Hungarian-Ukrainian ventures. The CCI of Zala County is ready to assist to the KCCI in searching of business partners for the Kherson companies as by means of offers transferring, and the organization of business meetings and direct negotiations with potential partners in the territory of Hungary.
