In the period of 06-10, July, Kherson region delegation headed by the Chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Andriy Putilov, visited Italy. The purpose of the trip was establishing of long-term mutually beneficial regional cooperation, presenting of economic and investment potential of Kherson region, a looking at economic and cultural potential of Lombardy and Veneto regions. The delegation included: the President of the Kherson CCI Victoria Ostroumova, member of Ukrainian parliament Andrey Gordeev, heads of Kherson region districts, departments of Kherson Regional State Administration and Kherson businessmen interested in cooperation with Italy.

The visit was organized by the Kherson CCI together with CCI of Padua in close cooperation with the Consulate General of Ukraine in Milan, with the personal support of Consul Andrew Kartysh and Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Italy Marco Tozoa. Efficient working program included a visit to the World Exhibition "Expo-2015", meetings with representatives of administrations and business circles of Lombardy and Veneto regions, presentation of Kherson region investment and economic potential.

The program included a meeting with the deputy president of Lombardy region Maori Paolini. In Venice (Veneto region) there was a meeting with the Vice President of the region Vekiato Diego. In Padua (Veneto region center) the delegation met with representatives of the City Council and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Padua.

According to results of the visit friendly contacts have been established. They will be a platform for long-term cooperation at the regional level, which undoubtedly contribute to the integration of Kherson products and services into the European Economic Area.
