2015.07.04 -11 Delegation of the Kherson CCI has returned from Austria. The visit was organized at the invitation of the Austrian side within the "Zolotoye runo Tavrii" project.
KCCI representatives visited Austria at the invitation of Mr. Myhael TSIRFOHEL, the head of «CMT Consulting Management Trading» Company, an EU expert on agriculture. The visit took place within the "Zolotoye runo Tavrii" project.
The purpose of the visit was to deepen the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of modern sheep farming and goat breeding in Austria.
The main tasks were to get acquainted with the peculiarities of dairy sheep and goats keeping and feeding, direct product sales through cooperatives and clusters, exports and imports between Ukraine and Austria.
Visiting in Austria the Kherson CCI has established business relations with Welsbach city management, visited several sheep and goat dairy farms and dairies in different parts of Lower Austria, and had a chance to see modern animal management, innovative technology of soft sheep cheese production. Issues and conditions of dairy breeding sheep export were discussed during the business meeting with Mr. Josef SHTOKLEM, the head of Sheep Association. The business meeting with Ms.Christi BAUER, the Director of Coordination Department for the agriculture development with EU was also very informative and meaningful.
Austrian farmers were glad to demonstrate their achievements and also assured Kherson guests about their readiness to train Ukrainian specialists wished to establish a similar business in Ukraine, and share technological secrets and peculiarities of production.
Production of soft cheeses at the farms, KCCI delegation visited, was organized by Mr. Myhael TSIRFOHEL, the initiator of the meeting of Kherson and Austrian experts. He is also a supplier of equipment. According to farmers, such technology is the latest and most cost-effective for soft cheeses manufacturing, it allows establishing smooth production and stable commodity batches. There is a very short period of production process. Cheeses are packaged with the use of protective gas technology and have a shelf life of 55 days. The finished products are supplied directly to supermarkets, hotels, shops.
