On March 20 - 21, 2018, UNIDO's international experts Ron Wroblewski and Barry Plat will conduct a 2-day training "Optimization of ventilation systems".

The training is organized by the UNIDO / GEF Project "Implementation of the Standard of Energy Management Systems in the Industry of Ukraine" in partnership with the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

To participate in the training the following business representatives are invited:

-  specialists of industrial enterprises;

-  representatives of service providers companies in the field of ventilation systems;

-  representatives of enterprises whose activities are related to the installation and maintenance of ventilation systems;

-  specialists who are expected to be National Experts in this direction;

-  designers of ventilators and other interested persons. 

The training will provide with in-depth technical information on the assessment and improvement of industrial ventilation systems.

Training objectives: Participants will gain the benefits of ventilation systems optimizing, learn how to make their qualified assessment, determine the possibilities for their optimization, and learn how to achieve maximum efficiency at minimal cost, using properly new and already existing ventilation systems, different control methods, advanced experience in service. They will also learn how to calculate costs and assess vent systems qualitatively, to improve its capabilities by using the VSAT (Ventilation System Assessment Tool) program.

Upon course completion, the UNIDO participant's Certificate will be issued, as well as identified candidates for the UNIDO expert level training.

1-st Day:Definition and estimation of possibilities of ventilation systems optimization 

• Key terms and concepts of Ventilation Systems Optimization to discuss;
• Advantages of VSO and consideration of various types of ventilators;

• Capabilities of enterprises in the field of VSO;
• Calculation of expenses;
• Assessment of suitability of ventilation system for an enterprise. 

2-nd Day: Ventilation System Assessment Tool (VSAT) for calculating an optimization opportunities. 

• The scope and functions of the VSAT;
• Characteristics of download / output data in the VSAT;
• Practical skills in using VSAT for creation of an optimization ranking;
• How to apply best practices to correct inaccuracies in servicing;
• Main VSAT capabilities;
• Template for feasibility studies to clarify information from third-party resources for the purpose of further testing and analysis of ventilators;
• Criteria for choosing an VSO provider.
