During a meeting in the Kherson Chamber of Commerce  Mr. Vidoshevych, who arrived in Kherson region on the occasion of the festive opening of the exhibition "Flash of Diversity",  represented by Croatian artists Mario Romulych and Drazhen Stoychich, and the Vice-President of the Chamber, Serhiy Kocherzhenko, discussed the economic situation in contemporary Croatia, the current trends in development of foreign economic relations of Ukraine and the Croatian Republic, the main directions of possible cooperation between two states.

Croatia has been and remains a country where tourism, in comparison with other sectors of the economy, plays a significant role. Adriatic coast of Croatia and numerous islands every year become a place of rest for millions of international tourists. Therefore, recently state policy is aimed at increasing investment in this industry, attracting new members to it.

 New projects in the gas sector are being implemented in Croatia, a lot of attention is devoted to energy efficiency and sustainable production, and since Ukraine also supports this initiative, the general terms of cooperation in these areas, according to Ambassador, are quite favorable.

Extremely important is the deepening of cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering and shipbuilding, transport, labor and social policy, digital innovation, agriculture. Issues of logistics in the planning of exports of vegetables and fruits are a separate issue.

Croatia is ready to share its experience of reforms and large-scale changes, integration into the European community. In 2017 the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on economic cooperation entered into force; in March 2018 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Labor and Pensions of the Croatian Republic. The parties agreed to establish and maintain mutually beneficial relations, thus contributing to the social and economic development of both countries. Therefore, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as the Institute for national business and economics supporting, will become an important helper in further deepening Ukrainian-Croatian business and interstate relations.
