2011.11.18 - The fifth group of students defended the project of “Cleaner Production”

Since October 2007 in Kherson region works the Norwegian-Ukrainian program of professional development for engineers of manufacturing and utility enterprises “Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency”. This project is implemented by the Norwegian Association of Chartered Engineers TEKNA in collaboration with Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce & Industry on the basis of Kherson CCI.
The goal of this project is involvement of Ukrainian engineers to solving problems of energy efficiency, resource-saving and improvement of natural environment’s condition.

Four groups of engineers from different companies of Kherson and Kherson region had successfully finished the training. Their positive results made it possible to set up in May 2011 the fifth training cycle for leading manufacturing and utility enterprises of Kakhovka district (Kherson region): CME “Kakhovka water and wastewater treatment plant”, “CHUMAK” JSC, “PetroNik” Ltd, “Beryslav bread-baking plant”, private enterprise “SH.A.N.S.” (Rozdolne village). The private entrepreneur from Skadovsk also took part in training together with engineers from Kakhovka.

On 18th  of November within the Third International Ecological Forum “Clean city. Clean river. Clean planet” participants presented their own energy-efficient projects in conference-hall of Kherson CCI.

Some of these projects have been already implemented at the moment of presentation. The others will be realized until the end of this year or during the next year. As a result, there will be economic profit in the form of reducing of raw materials and energy resources consumption, cost reduction of production or services by increasing of productive efficiency. It will make a company more competitive.
TEKNA program director Bjorn Borgaas and “Cleaner Production” chief manager Leiv Bjerke visited Kherson to congratulate new program leavers.

According to the tradition started by Norwegian partners, all leavers of previous studying cycles since 2007 were invited to this event. Engineers of leading manufacturing and utility enterprises of Kherson region told about their participation in project “Cleaner Production” and about its results.
At the evening on November 18 Bjorn Borgaas and the vice-president of Kherson CCI Sergey Kocherzhenko presented the international certificates to the leavers of fifth program.
