2011.09.22 – Enlarged meeting of the Investment Committee to the KCCI

On September 22, in the conference hall of Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held an enlarged meeting of the Investment Committee to the KCCI which gathered entrepreneurs and representatives of business circles from our region. The event was initiated by the Head of the Committee Mr Stanislav Putilov together with the President of KCCI Ms Victoria Ostroumova after the visit of business delegation to Poland and Scandinavia in June, where businessmen of our region learned the experience of their colleagues with investment projects.

Not only members of the Committee were invited. There also were: Commercial Counselor to the General Consulate of Ukraine in Gdansk (Poland), chief of consultative office (company “Egida”) for location of investment and international cooperation with Ukraine – Mr Igor Yarema and his colleague Mr Adam Kardash, who came to Kherson to participate in the International Investment Forum “Horizons of Tavriya: Cooperation, Investment, Economic Development”, governor adviser on environmental issues Mr Grygoriy Romanenko, director of Kherson Regional Investment and Development Center Ms Galyna Ivanova, chief engineer of affiliate “Urkderzhbudekspertyza” in Kherson region Mr Anatoliy Bovdyr.

A lot of subjects were approached: creation of a contract exchange house to the Kherson CCI, prospects of cooperation and implementation of investment projects together with Polish and Scandinavian investors.

Mr Igor Yarema told about his experience with investment projects within the EU program “Eastern Partnership”, about these projects and conditions of participation. He noted that this kind of activity is also quite perspective for Ukraine.

The President of Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ms Victoria Ostroumova expressed the readiness to collaborate with Poland, to sign contracts between Poland voivodeships and Kherson region, including collaboration between Chambers. During the meeting it was decided to prepare for Polish side a presentation about Kherson region and its production. This idea of Victoria Ostroumova and Stanislav Putilov was supported by all participants of the meeting.

In his turn Igor Yarema promised that after returning to Poland he will explore the possibilities of such collaboration for Kherson’s producers in greater detail and will make his propositions for further common consideration.
