2010.11.10-11 – Kherson CCI participated in IVth International investment forum in Zaporozhye

This event is most significant for the financiers, bankers, private and corporate investors, and, above all, businessmen who are interested in enterprise development through attracting additional financial resources.

In total, the investment forum brought together more than 450 participants, businessmen and diplomatic representatives from Lithuania, the Netherlands, Finland, China, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine. Among officials in the Forum participated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland in Ukraine Christer Mikkelson, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of China Zhang Siyun, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vladimir Isakov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Sergey Skripchenko, Minister for Regional Development and Construction of Ukraine Volodymyr Yatsuba, Representative of the President of Russia in the Ural Federal District Nikolai Vynnychenko, governor of Sverdlovsk region Alexander Misharin. The expected visit to the forum the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych failed.

Vice President Kherson CCI S. Kocherzhenko participated in the roundtable "Inter-Regional Partnership: the potential of interaction and cooperation". Vice-President said that over the past 5 years investment proposals of Kherson region were presented in different regions of Russia during the meetings of Kherson CCI with representatives of business circles and mass media in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Surgut, Tyumen, Ekaterinburg, Omsk, Smolensk etc.

The Format of the event also included plenary sessions and round tables for large-scale exhibition of traditional and alternative energy "Energy 2010".

For the attention of Forum participants and visitors in the exhibition centre "Kozak-Palace", where the Forum took place, were presented stands of all areas of Zaporozhye region, and stands of other regions, presenting the possibility of cooperation with them. Kherson Chamber of Commerce took part in the presentation of the training program "Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency" (CPEE) and in discussing the effectiveness of its implementation in the industrial areas.
