On 5 December in Turin office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Italy to Ukraine Kherson delegates had one meeting with President of Chamber Maurizio Carnevale and with Director of Turin office Arduino Benin.  During the meeting parties have discussed promising directions of farther cooperation both on the level of Chambers and on the level business circles whose interests they represent. This day members of delegation visited Royal Library in Turin, met with its Director and got acquainted with the library activity, its unique old editions. At the end of the meeting Director presented the Leonardo da Vinci’s manuscript “Codex on the Flight of Birds” to the General Director of Kherson Regional Universal Scientific Library.

Next day, 6 December, there was series of business meetings. Particularly, members of Kherson delegation met with representatives of Association of Small and Medium Business COFAPI, of Association of agricultural producers from Turin, UnioneIndustriale. In the course of the meeting parties discussed questions of Ukrainian-Italian cooperation development in industrial, agricultural, food spheres. Much attention was paid to the possibilities of setting up joint reprocessing enterprises . From her side, President of the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry Victoria Ostroumova particularly noted advantages of Kherson region which could attract prospective investors. The film “Open Ukraine, open Kherson” was shown for more complete demonstration of natural resource potential, economic and investment possibilities of Kherson region for Italian business partners.

On 6 December, 2013, during its visit to Turin, Ukrainian delegation had a meeting with General Secretary of Union Chamber Piedmont and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turin. In the course of the visit parties have achieved arrangements on the organization of Business Mission of Kherson businessmen to Turin in March-April 2014 and conducting B2B meetings with the purpose of setting mutually advantageous partnership relations between organizations and business circles of Ukraine and Italy.

No doubt, visit of Kherson region delegation became important for understanding current state of Ukrainian-Italian relationship and for mutual initiatives and further cooperation.
